Dealing with acute or chronic illnesses can be burdensome. Nurses and nursing students need supplementary knowledge on acute conditions such as Candida Auris, Stress, Anxiety, and Grief as well as on chronic conditions like Colon Cancer, Stroke, Cardiovascular Diseases and Diabetes, in order to provide care and support for patients that experience these conditions. More than ever, patients and the general population are asking nurses and nursing students about the management and treatment of acute or chronic illnesses. These patients are dependent on health caregivers. It is important that nurses and nursing students alike will have a knowledge base so they can understand and recognize the difficulties that patients with acute or chronic conditions have to undergo.
